How does your company contribute to the 1.5 degree goal?

Today's customers are environmentally conscious and would rather choose a producer and / or supplier who shows that they take active environmental responsibility. This gives companies that have taken this seriously significant competitive advantage over other companies.

More and more companies are now working hard to develop and implement their climate work, which is encouraging. For most companies, it is unfortunately impossible to neutralize all their carbon dioxide emissions without some form of climate investment.

Swedish Climate Forests

Klimatskoga offers companies the opportunity to invest in climate in Swedish climate forests. It is a long-term more sustainable alternative than climate compensation in other countries, while at the same time benefiting the diversity of Swedish nature and the countryside. It creates good conditions for future generations!

Calculate your company's CO2 emissions

The easiest way to calculate your company's CO2 emissions is with the help of ours CO2 calculator for companies, which are based on the internationally accepted GHG standard. The result you get shows how many tons of CO2 per year your company generates approximately. This gives you the basis for how many tons you need to neutralize.

Climate investment in Swedish Climate Forests

With the help of the data from the CO2 calculator, you can determine how much CO2 you need to neutralize or supplement with the help of a climate investment. Enter the number of tonnes per year you want to neutralize and add to the shopping cart. When the purchase is completed, we verify your “climate investment” through a certificate that clearly states how much CO2 your climate investment corresponds to.

Choose your own level

Balancing a company's CO2 emissions is a step-by-step process. A first step can be to neutralize one or more parts of your company's total CO2 emissions, for example premises, offices, travel. Then develop a long-term climate plan for how you should / can minimize your CO2 emissions over time. A reasonable goal is to reduce their emissions by 7% per year.

You get a personal certificate that certifies that by investing in Klimatskog you contribute to CO2 being efficiently taken up from the atmosphere, limiting global warming, increasing biodiversity, fossil fuels can be phased out, and achieving set climate goals - locally, nationally and globally.

You get the certificate adapted for social media so you can communicate your climate efforts and inspire more people to make a difference.

CO2 uptake from Klimatskog on Swedish farms

250 kr  Excluding VAT

per tonne of CO2 uptake

In collaboration with a number of Swedish farms, fast-growing deciduous trees are planted to create climate benefits in the form of CO2 absorption from the atmosphere, which contributes to reaching Sweden's climate goals and slowing down global warming. In addition to being very efficient at absorbing carbon dioxide, the plantings also contribute to increasing biological diversity. One of the Swedish farms, from which the photos come, is Åstorp farm in Sörmland, which is run with great climate commitment by Erik Hedar.

To further contribute to the climate goals, the biomass from the Climate Forest is used for biofuels for renewable and green energy, which contributes to the important task of phasing out the use of fossil fuels.

Klimatskoga also offers projects for long-term storage of CO2

If you work with Science based targets or the equivalent, long-term storage of carbon dioxide is required for the parts of the CO2 emissions you intend to neutralize. Klimatskoga offers CO2 absorption from Swedish farms with long-term storage - by producing biochar, pyrolysis (PyCCS).
The biochar is produced from biomass from Klimatskoga's newly planted Klimatskogar and thus creates a strong additionality compared to using biomass from existing forests.
If you want to know more about our projects for long-term storage, you are most welcome to contact us and we will help you achieve these goals.

Read more about biochar

The CO2 absorption from the Climate Forest and the production of biochar from its biomass is one of the most effective solutions for reducing carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere and creating a long-term carbon sink in the soil. Climate forests and biochar thus contribute to effectively reaching Sweden's climate goals and slowing down global warming.
When the biomass from our Climate Forests is converted into biochar via pyrolysis (PyCCS - Pyrogenic carbon capture and storage), a large part of the carbon that the trees have accumulated can be bound into a much more permanent product - biochar. Biochar is very stable and is estimated to have a half-life of hundreds to thousands of years. Biocoal is therefore to be considered a carbon sink from a climate point of view and the IPCC classifies it as Negative Emission Technology.
Klimatskoga's biochar offer is carried out in accordance with the ISO 14064-2 standard, which defines criteria for the development and testing of emission reduction and removal projects. This standard is excellent for issuing carbon certificates and its methodology and testing processes correspond to other common standards, such as the Verified Carbon Standard or the Gold Standard.
